Kangra

Kangra

On the way to Dharamshala we came across the picturesque town of Kangra. At one point this place was captured and ruled by Nepal, but were driven away later by Ranjh, and remained as a princely state under British India, and finally merged with Himachal Pradesh post independence.

For my Feb 2010 Himachal Pradesh trip I picked up a 12-24 mm f/4 Tokina wide angle lens. The snap clicked above is with this lens in a moving car, through the windshield.
