Friendship
Friendship

We had nothing to do on a Sat afternoon so we decided to head to Anjuna at my favorite place, a less known shack (if I were to name it here it wont be less known anymore, would it?), and were enjoying our lazy holiday under the shade, and trying stuff ordered off their huge menu like lebanese food. 2 of my friend were deeply engrossed in a conversation, the shaded portion of the shack and the blinding bright sun outside helped make this silhouette. By conversation I meant both had some curses added time to time during the conversation.. “Bas…, u …, A…hole”. Thats the beauty of good friendship.

They say a good friend is the one who stabs you in the front. I remember the time I was a good friend to a collegue of mine from college, while everyone was at college, I was on bed rest with broken ribs, and really bored. I called up at my friends residence, knowing very well he would not be around. His mom picked up the call, here is the conversation that followed

– “Hello”

– “Hi, can I speak to friend1”

– “friend1 is at college”

– “College? but today is a holiday!!”

– “Holiday??? My son tells me each time he goes to college, wonder where the hell he goes!… blab blab, who is this?”

– “I am friend2”

“Click”

I cut the call before it got into further details.

Next day I heard friend1 was giving friend2 a hard time asking him why in Gods name did he make his life tough for him..

Ok I am not proud of this.. It was a silly prank, and I laughed a bit (not too hard.. remember my broken ribs!). Well thats how friends are.. Lord save us from our friends!

Am singing Yaaron Dosti (sung by KK, with the beautiful music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy)

Yaaron dosti badi hi haseen hai
Yeh na ho to kya phir
Bolo yeh zindagi hai

Koi to ho raazdaar
Begaraj tera ho yaar
Koi to ho raazdaar
